I dye my wool using the ancient art of dying with plants.

Flowers, leaves, bark and roots are gathered sustainably on the hill where I live, or grown in my garden.

I buy in Logwood and Madder.  I grow Madder in my garden but it takes years to establish, especially in the Scottish climate.

Extracting the dye involves steaming vats and earthy smells.  Every hank of wool is dyed by me.  This lengthy process produces gorgeous one-off colours.
